About the time he went away for college, Nick Nilsson became interested in putting muscle on his ectomorph, 145 lb. body. Not in just putting on a little muscle, but in putting on a lot. With dedicated training and cafeteria food, he put on 75 lbs. in his first year.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a well-thought-out plan he was on and the weight didn’t come entirely in the form of muscle.
But it was still a “Holy $%#!” transformation.
As he continued training, he got into the science of muscle building. He graduated with a degree in Physical Education and became a personal trainer. He started getting less and less fat and more and more muscle from his efforts.
He didn’t get the better results by going “conventional”. Nilsson is anything but conventional. He has developed unique and creative training methods that have earned him the nickname, “The Mad Scientist of Muscle Building”.
Inspired by a cruise ship job where he found himself out to sea with very limited gym facilities, he developed his classic “Best Exercises You’ve Never Heard Of“ series.
His overall training approach is based on “Bulgarian Training” methods and can be seen in his highly rated “Mad Scientist Muscle“ and “Muscle Explosion“ programs.
